Bergen: 10-Day Coastal Voyage to Kirkenes and Oslo

This ten-day journey follows the Norwegian coastline from Bergen to Kirkenes before continuing to Oslo. The trip begins in Bergen where you spend the first night exploring the harbour city. The following day includes a guided walking tour before boarding the coastal ship that travels north along the Norwegian coast.

Over the next several days the ship calls at ports along Western Norway, Trøndelag, and Northern Norway. The route includes stops in Ålesund, Trondheim, Bodø, Svolvær, Hammerfest, and Honningsvåg among others. Passengers can relax on board, watch the coastline from the deck, or join optional excursions at selected ports.

The voyage ends in Kirkenes near the Norwegian–Russian border. After a night in town, you fly south to Oslo.

The final part of the journey takes place in Norway’s capital where you stay for two nights. A sightseeing cruise on the Oslofjord introduces the city from the water before departure from Oslo Airport.

Day 1: Arrive in Bergen
Arrive in Bergen and make your way to your centrally located hotel. Check in for the night and spend time exploring the harbour area, Bryggen, and the city centre.

Day 2: Explore Bergen and Begin Coastal Voyage
Join a guided walking tour through Bergen’s historic districts. The tour introduces the city’s maritime history and the Bryggen waterfront.
In the evening, board the coastal ship in Bergen and begin the voyage north along the Norwegian coastline. Accommodation is in a standard sleeper cabin with full-board meals included.

Day 3: Sail Through Western Norway Ports
Spend the day on board as the ship visits several coastal ports including Florø, Måløy, Torvik, Ålesund, and Molde. You can relax on deck, enjoy the changing coastline, or explore the ship’s facilities.

Day 4: Sail Through the Trondheim Region
Continue north along the coast. Ports of call today include Kristiansund, Trondheim, and Rørvik.

Day 5: Cross the Arctic Circle
The ship continues through Helgeland with stops in Brønnøysund, Sandnessjøen, Nesna, Ørnes, Bodø, Stamsund, and Svolvær.

Day 6: Explore Northern Norway Ports
Travel through Northern Norway with stops including Øksfjord, Hammerfest, Havøysund, Honningsvåg, Kjøllefjord, Mehamn, and Berlevåg.

Day 7: Arrive in Kirkenes
The ship reaches Kirkenes in the morning after stops in Båtsfjord, Vardø, and Vadsø. Disembark and make your way to your hotel for a one-night stay. Spend the afternoon exploring the town near the Norwegian–Russian border.

Day 8: Fly to Oslo
Transfer to Kirkenes Airport and fly to Oslo. After arrival, make your way to your hotel for a two-night stay in the city centre.

Day 9: Cruise the Oslofjord by Electric Boat
Join a sightseeing cruise on the Oslofjord aboard an electric boat. The route passes islands, harbours, and waterfront neighbourhoods while audio commentary introduces the city’s maritime history.

Day 10: Depart from Oslo
After breakfast, make your way to Oslo Airport for your onward journey.
