What to expect?
This five-day journey connects western Norway’s fjords with the Norwegian capital. Begin in Bergen, a historic harbour city surrounded by mountains and sea. After arrival, settle into your centrally located hotel and explore Bryggen’s colourful wooden buildings, narrow alleys, and lively waterfront.
On Day 2 you head deep into the fjords. The Mostraumen fjord cruise travels through the Osterfjord and narrow straits surrounded by steep mountains. Waterfalls plunge down rock faces, and the captain carefully navigates the boat through tight passages where the fjord landscape feels close and dramatic.
Day 3 delivers one of Norway’s most famous travel experiences. Journey across the mountains on the Bergen Railway before descending toward the fjords. Cruise through the UNESCO-listed Nærøyfjord, one of the narrowest fjords in Europe, before reaching the village of Flåm. Here you board the legendary Flåm Railway, climbing through waterfalls and steep valleys to Myrdal. From there the train continues across Norway’s mountain plateau to Oslo.
Your final full day takes you onto the Oslofjord. The quiet electric boat glides between forested islands and traditional seaside cabins while you learn about the capital’s maritime history.
The journey ends in Oslo after five days of fjords, rail travel, and Nordic city life.
