This is a combination of our two most spectacular Trolltunga tours! They merge into an awe-inspiring hike that you will never forget. Climb up the steep face of the mountain, the air swirling around and beneath you as you gain height. At the summit, we find the arctic dome waiting for us. From here, we continue to Trolltunga. Dinner is prepared in the dome. We enjoy our evening as the sun sets and paint the sky.

Join us for an unforgettable glamping adventure at Trolltunga, one of Norway's most iconic landmarks! Your journey starts at P2 parking in Skjeggedal, where you’ll meet your experienced guide. Enjoy a scenic one-hour walk along the pristine Ringedalsvatnet lake, surrounded by breathtaking landscapes. Next, tackle the steep 1 km path leading to the thrilling Trolltunga Via Ferrata and the exhilarating Sky Ladder.
After a refreshing break and essential safety instructions, begin your climb. As you ascend, marvel at the stunning vistas of the vibrant blue lake below, the picturesque Ringedalen valley, and the distant Folgefonna Glacier. This unique climbing experience offers some of the best views in Norway!
After approximately two hours of climbing and a short walk, you’ll arrive at our cozy arctic domes, perfectly situated for a glamping experience. Enjoy a warm cup of hot or cold beverages as you take in the spectacular scenery. Then, hike the final stretch to Trolltunga, where you can enjoy the breathtaking viewpoint in tranquility, away from the crowds.
As evening falls over the Norwegian landscape, return to the dome for a delicious dinner, perfect for sharing stories with fellow adventurers or simply soaking in the stunning colors of the sky.
The domes have 6 sleeping spots each. You can arrange private sleeping in a normal tent, this option can be added in the 'addon' section of your booking. If you choose the private tent option, all social, dinner&breakfast will be in the dome, and you only sleep seperate.
After a restful night in your cozy dome, wake up to the delightful aroma of freshly brewed coffee or join your guide for a second visit to the iconic Trolltunga. After a hearty breakfast, we’ll pack up and begin our trek back to civilization, with an expected arrival time between 2 PM and 3 PM.

About the Trolltunga via ferrata experience

Our partner hotel Trolltunga Hotel offer free shuttle transport to the Trolltunga Active Tours when staying in the hotel in the shoulder season: The shuttle runs between 16th of February to 15th of June, then operates again from 15th of September until 1st of December.
During the main season, 15th June-15th Sept, public transportation replaces the hotel shuttle to the Trolltunga Active base. The stop for the public shuttle is 100 m from the Hotel.
How to get to Odda from Bergen:
Bus 930 is a good option for traveling from Bergen to Odda. The bus departs from Bergen Busstasjon and ends at Odda Busstasjon. The bus departs once a day at 9:00 PM on weekdays and takes about 3 hours.

There are three Arctic Dome glamping tents available with a capacity of maximum 6 people in each tent. To book a private guide or private dome, choose the option ‘Private guide’. A group with a private guide, can include up to 5 participants/and the price is equal to 5 bookings. When placing your booking info, make a booking for 5 person, write ‘Private guide xx persons’ in the cell for your first name and your full name in the cell for the last name.
Please note: There is a drop-toilet available outside the dome tents. The glamping tents possess very basic facilities, please keep in mind that we operate in a very remote area that is inaccessible. Even though we provide different ways to keep you warm, you are still accommodated in tents which offer shelter and protect you from the elements but do not preserve heat for very long. There are no shower facilities and no electricity.

What to bring
Bring enough food for two lunches plus extra snacks such as sandwiches, nuts, or chocolate, along with at least two litres of water. Make sure you have sturdy hiking shoes, a wind- and waterproof shell jacket, and a comfortable mid layer for insulation. Pack warm clothes to wear in the evening when you are sitting still, as well as spare socks, a cap or hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, and a headlamp. Carry everything in a backpack with a minimum capacity of 40 litres, and if you are doing a Via Ferrata, gloves with good grip are recommended. If rain and low temperatures are forecasted, also bring wind- and waterproof shell pants, an extra warm mid layer, a woollen base layer (avoid cotton, as it becomes very cold when wet), a beanie or headband, and gloves.
