This is an expedition far from the ordinary. Professional local guides allow you to experience Trolltunga covered in ice and snow. The changing winter weather is a challenge in itself, hence our guides know to respect nature and will always put safety first. Avoid the summer crowds – put your snowshoes on and enter the adventure.

What to expect?
This winter snowshoe hike offers a challenging experience into the stunning, snow-covered landscapes of Trolltunga. Led by a local professional guide, you’ll get up close with the icy terrain. Given the challenging winter conditions, the guides prioritize safety and respect for nature.
Adventure Details:
Duration: Approximately 8 - 12 hours
Distance: 2 x 14 km, with an 800 m ascent
Meeting Point:
Location: Trolltunga Active Base in Skjeggedal
Time: 07:30 AM
Requirements:
Participants must be in good physical condition.
Not suitable for those with knee problems.
Minimum age: 15 years.
Inform Trolltunga Active of any medical conditions (e.g., asthma, epilepsy).
Preparation:
A packing list and detailed adventure information will be provided upon booking confirmation.
Bring warm, suitable clothing for winter activities.
Bring food and beverages for the full-day hike (provided snack is not a meal replacement).
Pre-Tour Information Meeting:
Time: 21:00, the night before the tour
Location: Trolltunga Hotel in Odda
Guides will discuss the tour, necessary equipment, weather forecasts, and more.
Transportation:
Shoulder Season (16th February - 15th June, 15th September - 1st December): Free shuttle transport from Trolltunga Hotel to Trolltunga Active Tours.
Primary Season (15th June - 15th September): Public transportation replaces the hotel shuttle. The public shuttle stop is 100 m from the hotel.
