Day 1: Hike to Preikestolen & Cruise Lysefjorden

After descending, cruise along Lysefjorden to Flørli, a remote hamlet accessible only by ferry or on foot. In the afternoon, explore this historic village before enjoying a two-course meal and spending the night in cosy cabin accommodation.
Day 2: Climb the Flørli Staircase & Explore the Fjord’s End

Day 3: Hike Kjerag & Return to Stavanger
Drive the famous 27 hairpin turns to the Kjerag trailhead and then hike with your guide to some of Norway’s most spectacular scenery. For the brave, stand on the edge of cliffs 1,000 m above the fjord for a thrilling view. After the adventure, return to Stavanger to conclude your tour.
Please note
How difficult are the hikes?
The Preikestolen (Pulpit Rock) tour is a moderate hike, covering 8 km round trip with a 450m elevation gain, taking about 4-5 hours. The Flørli 4444 and Kjerag hike are more challenging due to steeper ascents, requiring 5-6 hours each. A good fitness level is recommended, especially for those planning to complete all three hikes within three days.
How big are the hiking groups?
Our Preikestolen, Kjerag, and Lysefjorden tours are small-group experiences, typically with 2-8 participants. This allows for a friendly atmosphere and a more personalized adventure.
What happens in bad weather?
Norwegian weather is unpredictable, but Preikestolen tours, Kjerag hikes, and Stavanger fjord tours continue in rain, wind, and colder temperatures. Guides monitor conditions closely and adjust plans if necessary. Trip cancellations are rare, but if needed, we’ll offer modifications, rescheduling, or refunds.
What safety measures are in place?
All hikes, including Kjerag Preikestolen routes, are carefully planned with risk assessments. Our guides are first-aid trained, experienced in outdoor leadership, and in contact with emergency services. Personal travel insurance is recommended. Standing on Kjeragbolten or near cliffs is at your own risk.
What are the accommodation arrangements?
On the first night, guests stay in a private apartment with separate bedrooms and shared living spaces. The second night includes private rooms with separate bathrooms. Linens and towels are provided.
Are dietary restrictions accommodated?
Yes! We can cater to dietary needs—please inform us in advance.
Where can I store personal belongings?
We recommend leaving excess luggage at your hotel, hostel, or Airbnb. A daypack (30-50L) is ideal for the hike. Secure storage in our minivan is also available.
Is there phone signal, and can I bring a drone?
Phone signal is available most days, but some remote areas have limited coverage. Drones are not recommended, as they can disturb wildlife, including sensitive reindeer populations.
What time do we return to Stavanger?
We aim to arrive back in Stavanger around 5 PM on the final day, though traffic and weather may affect timing.
