What to expect?
Experience the untamed beauty of Norway’s mountains in peace by taking a path only the locals know. Our unique day-hike includes a canoe ride and an off-the-beaten-track adventure to Norway’s most iconic rock formation. Start your day with a convenient pickup from one of several designated locations in Stavanger. After a scenic 40-minute drive, arrive at Preikestolen Basecamp, where restrooms are available.
Collect life vests and canoe paddles, then head with us to the beach of Lake Revsvatnet. Receive instructions on safe canoeing, trail information, and hiking tips from your guide. Begin your adventure with a serene canoe ride across Revsvatnet. Hike along an old, forgotten trail rediscovered by a local pioneering guide. Enjoy the trail almost entirely to yourselves. Take time to adjust your gear, rest, enjoy snacks, and capture stunning photos.
After approximately 3 hours of hiking, arrive at Preikestolen, 604 meters above the legendary Lysefjorden. The panoramic views are a fantastic reward for your efforts. After soaking in the scenery, begin the 2.5-hour descent back to the parking area. Exhausted but satisfied, enjoy the drive back to Stavanger, reflecting on a day well spent.
