What to expect?
Preikestolen, also known as Pulpit Rock, is a breathtaking natural wonder located. This iconic cliff rises 604 metres above the Lysefjord and features an almost flat top that measures approximately 25 by 25 metres. The rock formation is a testament to the sculpting forces of nature, having been formed over 10,000 years ago during the Ice.
The trek to Preikestolen is one of Norway’s most famous hikes. The hike is considered moderately demanding, with an elevation gain of around 500 metres, and it offers some steep sections that challenge even experienced trekkers.
The panoramic views from the top are unparalleled, offering a dramatic vista of the fjord and surrounding landscapes.
