All breakfasts, lunches, snacks, and dinners are included. Optional add-ons, such as transfers from Stockholm, are available for added convenience.
Simply arrive in central Stockholm on your selected start date and follow the program. This guided kayaking holiday is ideal for travelers who want a hands-on, immersive archipelago experience with expert support every step of the way.
Day 1: Explore the Stockholm Archipelago and Learn Kayaking
Meet at a central location in Stockholm at 9:15 am for a 45-minute transfer to the Kayak Center. You’ll be welcomed by our certified wilderness and kayak guides, who will accompany you throughout the trip. Over a Swedish Fika (beverage and snack), get to know the other participants and go through the itinerary for your kayaking adventure.
Then it’s time to set off! Paddle in stable two-person kayaks with the guides, feeling the wind in your hair. Soon, the only sounds are seabirds and gentle waves as you leave the mainland behind and explore the small, uninhabited islands of the archipelago.
In the afternoon, the guides will show you your campsite and help you get settled with your camping gear. After a refreshing swim, enjoy dinner cooked together on outdoor stoves. Meals taste especially good after a day in nature, and the sounds of the water and wind make for a peaceful night’s sleep.
Day 2: Discover Wildlife and Hidden Islands
After breakfast (and perhaps a morning swim, a classic Swedish start), plan the day with your guide. The itinerary will depend on weather and group preferences, taking you to some of the archipelago’s most stunning nature reserves, such as Hjälmö-Lådna, Möja, or Bullerö. Spend time kayaking, sunbathing on cliffs, improving your paddling technique, and spotting wildlife like White-Tailed Eagles or Baltic Grey Seals. Your guide will select a beautiful campsite for the night.
Day 3: Return to Civilization
Enjoy a final morning on the islands, by now familiar with your kayak and the archipelago. Stop for a long lunch on a secluded island, take an afternoon swim, and savor a coffee before paddling back to the Kayak Center. The staff will handle all the equipment while you relax with snacks, a shower, or a sauna. After a debrief with the guides and fellow participants, the transfer returns you to the city drop-off point in time for dinner.
Complete your trip with a meal in Stockholm and, if you like, a day of sightseeing before heading home.
