In the Swedish countryside, surrounded by the beautiful Swedish nature, you’ll get to experience the ancient history of the Vikings. Our expert guides will show you among others different runestones, viking causeways, a Viking Age parlament / assembly site and grounds whom the vikings themselves walked upon on.
We have three different viking tours who differ in lengths. 3h, 5h and 8h.
Explore the rich Viking history of Sweden on an immersive day tour from Stockholm. Accompanied by an expert guide, you will visit some of the most significant Viking sites of cultural and archaeological importance. Continue the journey as you visit Jarlabanki’s bridge, a partly reconstructed Viking causeway, and learn about the influence of the Jarlabanke kin group, their power, and their contributions to road and bridge building. Explore the Arkil Assembly site to discover how Viking society settled disputes, made laws, and governed themselves. The tour concludes at Vallentuna medieval church, where you will learn about the transition from paganism to Christianity, the architecture of the church, and the daily life of people during the medieval period. This tour blends history, archaeology, and storytelling to provide a vivid understanding of the Viking legacy.
