What to expect?
What about having dinner on an island and arriving there with your kayak? You don’t need to go far, we are in the middle of Stockholm, 10 minute walk from the tube station Hornstull.
We will start from Stockholm Langholmen Island at 18.00 and paddle one hour before having a dinner break at a very nice site. Enjoy the sunset or have a swim in the water while your guide is grilling sausages. We’ll then get back to paddling and make our way back to the starting point.
On the way, you will see Stockholm and notice the special colours that the old buildings take when the sun is setting a very special Scandinavian light on them. The colours reflect also on the water and make the experience very unique. You are in the city centre but it feels like being in the countryside. Indeed Stockholm has the reputation of being a very green city and yes it is true.
Trees all along the coast, migratory birds hanging around or even fishermen trying to catch big are all present all summer. Suitable for a family, group of friends, couples or solo travellers. Everyone would find their happiness in kayaking like the many other travellers before you.
Meeting Point:
Meeting at Ystadsvägen 18. Metro station Hammarbyhöjden, on the green line, number 17, towards Skarpnäck. You can check the meeting point location on Google Maps.
How to get there, coming from the Hammarbyhöjden Metro station:
When you step off the metro take left, then exit the metro station. You arrive at Malmövägen, take the right and follow the sharp 90° turn going left then continue walking for about 5 minutes. On the way, you will pass the café called ''Bonne Femme’', pass it and continue down the road for about 1 minute.
The house on the corner of Ystadsvägen is where you'll meet your guide. The logo True Nature Sweden is written on the windows.
