If you do not know the background to the Swedish mile, you will learn it at the end of the walk.
The walk starts with Jarlabanke's bridge and the great men of the Viking Age. It then goes via Täby church's fantastic late medieval Albertus Pictor paintings and near the water to Arkils Tingstad and ends at Vallentuna church.
During the walk you will hear exciting stories about everything from slavery, Viking victims, powerful nobles and experience fantastic medieval churches and discover what is hidden behind, and in, the walls.
The walk is an exciting collaborative project with Vallentuna-based Sweden History Tours (Stockholm's own time machine) which offers private and public guided tours, ghost walks and theme walks for families, individuals, groups and companies about the Viking Age, dark folklore as well as other exciting history-themes in Stockholm, Uppsala, Sigtuna and Vallentuna. Ghost walks, online guided tours and transported tours with your own car are also offered through the company.
