What to expect?
Begin the tour with pick up from your hotel and travel by minibus to the base camp in Ivalo. On arrival, you'll be provided with warm thermal clothes and shoes, and then head out to the small village of Koppelo, far away from the city lights.Relax in a sled and travel deep into the wilderness with an experienced local guide. The comfortable snowmobile-pulled sleigh is covered by warming reindeer hide so you have a warm and comfortable ride to the frozen lakeside.
Once at the lake, you will take a break in the silent beauty of the wilderness. If you're lucky, you might see the Northern Lights in the middle of the lake.
You will get to visit a small island with a traditional wooden cottage and teepee. Here, you can also relax and try to spot the Northern Lights.
The experienced guide will prepare a delicious dinner and hot drinks by a campfire. Your local delicacy dinner will be made of local fish or reindeer and prepared over an open fire. Perfect for you to enjoy with the crisp, winter air on your cheeks.
