Overview
Hop on a snowmobile and join us for an adventure into the Pasvik valley exploring the Russian border, staying on the Norwegian side.
What to expect?
On this tour you we will go will drive 2 together on a Snowmobile, and switch on driving. We will pick you up at your hotel in Kirkenes, and take you on a 15 minute ride to the Snowhotel Kirkenes camp outside Kirkenes.Here your guide will help you get well dressed for the cold arctic climate. Then we go out to get to know the snowmobiles thoroughly before turning them on.
The guide will take time to give both full security instructions, and not the least a training session, so all, also those who have never driven a snowmobile before, are comfortable to drive. When we are ready, the journey begins, and we drive out on the fjord ice and further into the Pasvik Valley.
The trip goes through magnificent landscapes of pine forest, frozen lakes and marshes, until we reach the border river to Russia.
The tour includes approx. 3 hours of snowmobile driving. We will stop at a cabin along the way for a picnic lunch. After we return to the Snowhotel, we will drive you back to your hotel in Kirkenes, if you are staying there.
