Visit North Scandinavias largest Glacier, Svartisen

Visit Svartisen. This glacier is located in picturesque surroundings which never cease to impress, not even to those who reside permanently by its side.

Tour starts in the morning from Bodø and continues by bys along the National Scenic Coastal Route southwards. Short stop at Ørnes before the bus continues to Holandsfjorden where there will be a short ferry crossing to Svartisen Marina. 1,5 km guided walk to Brestua Cafe for lunch and glacial views.

Return to Bodø via the industrial site of Glomfjord. During the drive we will pass Saltstraumen, the world's strongest maelstrom, and there will be a couple of photostops along the way.
